Hoven is a small mountain (aka hill) on the northern part of the island Gimsøy which belongs to the chain of Lofoten Islands. The hike to the summit is not necessarily a big challenge for experienced hikers. While the mountain itself is not that high, it does stand alone amongst flatlands which means as a photographer you have an unobstructed 360° view of the coast and surrounding landscape.
Hiking Hoven: Getting There
There is a parking lot to the left of the golf course Lofoten Links which has signs pointing to the trail, which is pretty easy to follow (highlighted on the map). The start of the trail is in the middle of the golf course and is well marked with wooden signposts.
