Cold, Cloudy and Wet: Amsterdam in February

Berlin doesn’t have a downtown or city center in the classic sense, so there is an unusually large number of large, unique train stations.

The ‘Lost in Amsterdam’ title image is somewhat fitting, as I often got a bit turned around in a light, slightly-panicked jog, trying to catch what colour the faint sunlight could provide. I needn’t have worried, it’s not as if Amsterdam shuts up shop and goes dark in the evening. 

Anyone who has visited Glasgow already knows that “People Make Glasgow”. It’s nearly impossible to order a round at the bar, without striking up a conversation with someone. Just reading the slogan you might think it’s catchphrase to compensate for less than picturesque cityscape. On the contrary, the city has plenty of beautiful spots.
